Join us as our journey continues. Michelle and SJ whipped up a delicious Breakfast Bunny that energized us for the day ahead, as we set off with an early morning start, filled with unexpected detours and thrilling wildlife encounters. Our day began with a necessity β replacing a tire on the Amarok. The Crocodile Camp swiftly emptied as fellow travellers hit the road. This camp, boasting spacious stands, served as an excellent pit stop. Our tire expedition led us to multiple shops, eventually resulting in both tires being replaced for uniformity. Meanwhile, we restocked our supplies at the various grocery options in Maun β Woolworths, Spar, Choppies, and more. SJ and Michelle even ensured our water tanks were topped up at a fuel station.Affipadaf in Botswana Part 3

As we set out for home, we're reminded that it's not just about the destination β it's about the incredible journey we're on. Our departure from the pans was early, and we opted for the scenic route along the pans, leading us to the captivating Lekhubu Island, also known as Kubu Island. And let me tell you, it was a feast for the eyes. The landscape transformed continuously, shifting from grassy plains to lush bushveld. Open expanses greeted us and eventually transformed into serene mopani forests. Along the way, we encountered small settlements adorned with cattle, where the harmony between people and land was a sight to behold. The resourcefulness of using tree trunks to build cattle kraals and houses truly complemented the surroundings.
